CALL FOR PAPERS

Spring Meeting
North Central Section of the MAA

CONTRIBUTED PAPERS: This is the call for papers to be presented at the meeting. Papers are normally 15-20 minutes in length, but longer papers can sometimes be accommodated. Papers should be expository and should be of interest to an audience of college mathematics teachers and their students.

To contribute a paper (or poster for students), send the proposed title and brief abstract using the Abstract Submission form to the Section Secretary, Joel Iiams (contact information below), by 5 pm Friday, April 9th. You will receive an email confirming that your abstract has been received. The abstracts of accepted talks and the full meeting schedule will be posted on the section web site (http://www.maa.org/northcentral) the week prior to the meeting.

When submitting the completed Abstract Submission form, pay particular attention to the following pieces of information:

Names of all authors and institutional affiliation (if any), indicating the presenter if there is more than one author
Title of Paper and an Abstract of the paper (suggested length: less than 100 words)
Number of minutes needed for presentation (15 or 20 minutes, other?)
Equipment needed, particularly anything beyond an overhead projector, blackboard/whiteboard, or computer/internet hook-up with PowerPoint.
